Volunteers Needed for Big Sky Track and Field Championships May 10-11

The University of Idaho is hosting the Big Sky Track and Field Championships Thursday, May 10, and Friday, May 11, in Moscow. All 12 teams and more than 600 athletes in the Big Sky Conference will compete at the Dan O'Brien Track and Field Complex on campus. It is a big meet, a big endeavor, so any volunteer help would be incredible and appreciated. Organizers are in need of volunteers to help with the meet operation and to assist our officials. Events are also happening Tuesday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 9, for anyone interested in watching the events. Thursday and Friday are the big days where the most amount of help is needed. A sign-up sheet is broken up by time and event. Read more

Chinese Calligraphy Workshop Begins May 1 in Boise

Chinese calligraphy is an ancient and beautiful art. Come practice water and ink calligraphy! The University of Idaho Confucius Institute in Boise is offering a three-week Chinese Calligraphy Workshop from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mountain time Tuesdays, May 1, May 8, and May 15, at the U of I Boise Center, 322 E. Job Opportunity: Campus Registered Dietitian, Student Affairs

Reporting to the Director, Health Promotion, the Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing outpatient nutrition care and educational programs for University of Idaho students. The dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy for students referred by medical providers or self-referrals including nutrition assessments, identifying patient needs, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to counsel patients, and documenting progression of care. The dietitian participates in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care of patients with Student Health Services/Moscow Family Medicine medical providers and Counseling and Testing Center; referring patients to outside services where appropriate. The dietitian maintains required records, reports and files; maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with UI-SHS policies and procedures, state and federal HIPAA requirements, and maintains and enhances professional development as required for licensing and registration.
